What Is Domain Masking?

Masking is used in conjunction with domain name forwarding to hide the true address of the web page displayed.

For example if you just apply forwarding to Domain A and have it redirect to Domain B, the address bar in your web browser will show Domain B's address after the forwarding takes place.

If you apply masking in addition to the forward, Domain A will redirect to Domain B as before, but this time the address in the address bar of the browser will continue to show Domain A even though the true location of the web page being viewed is Domain B.

Some domain registration services charge a fee for domain masking services. The registration service listed below offers free domain name masking.
